We usually hire a car in Spain but were wondering if there was any way to avoid this - airport transfers from Alicante to La Torre at a reasonable cost? Also would the lack of a car seriously hinder our ability to go out for a meal or get groceries from La Torre?
Taxis in Spain are expensive, a hire car will generally be much cheaper depending on the time of year. I think most golf courses in the area would require a car to go anywhere. We always use Centauro, end of May for 10 days is £40.

The cost was £20 for the first 18 days (low km Seat Ibiza) and £12, yes £12, for 18 days with a brand new Renault Clio. Due to my age I had to pay a supplement of about £70 for each period.
