I worked in the aviation industry for 30+ years. NEVER send your pets by air! I have lost count of the number of very sad 'incidents'.

I’ve travelled from Glasgow to Murcia& back with my French Bulldog going to Portsmouth for the ferry to Santander and she has always been fine if you stop every 4-5 hours for the toilet and a bit of food. We had to book a kennel the first time but we were with her till 10pm and kennels open...

... again  at 7am she was fine throughout the whole journey just left a bowl of chicken and a bowl of water in the kennel for her with my tee shirt so she could smell me (.and gave her a half of boots travel sickness pill )if your lucky you can also get a ferry with  dog friendly cabins also to&from France you can leave your dog in your own car . I have travelled all 3 ways and she was always fine . Good luck you’ll enjoy your holiday more with your dog with you !
