Yes Bankia have an account called One BUT it is only available to new Bankia customers !!

Somebody on this forum managed to get Bankia to move them to a One account I think.

I have wanted to move for several years though so their letter was the last straw for me.

They have several options for free banking, pay in several hundred euro per month, buy their car or house insurance,use their credit card, buy their mortgage products.........

Not falling for that one.

We were in Spain last week and our Bankia account was declined on first day! Reading these posts now realise it must have been blocked (althogh there is money in there).  This was the last straw for us and we opened a Santander account.  We have had our Bankia account for over two years but never been able to access online.  Opened our account with Santander on Thursday and left with a working app on my phone!  Already ahead!  Just one more DD to transfer then will close Bankia on our next visit.

Our solicitor opened an online Bankia account for us in September that we haven't been charged fees on for anything. Online banking has been good. When I heard about the stops I contacted them and as earlier they explained all banks are the same. Every two years you should show all docs: passport; nie paperwork for money laundering purposes. Something that is imposed on them. 

The Nr I call usually goes to voicemail saying an English speaker will get back to me. I've kept copies of these posts just in case but so far so good.  We haven't bought any services through them whatsoeve. The Nr is 00 34 917911 601.

I do not recommend Bankia at all. My solicitor opened an account for me, both the solicitor and bank failed to explain banking options and charges. In just 5 months I've had to pay €130 in charges including peer to peer transfers which the app does not say the right fee when sending money, plus Power of Attorney to get it closed. Avoid, avoid, AVOID.
