We recently from from SanP to Girona - no tolls other than the two at Torrevieja. I understand it is the same all over Spain at the moment because they are putting in new equipment.

France will be tolled as normal but Google will reveal costs depending on what route you take.

I'm assuming you're sailing from France but think Santandar have a direct ferry to the UK.

Safe journey

Try www.viamichelin.com

You can choose your route, select whether to avoid tolls, motorways, etc. and I'm pretty sure it shows petrol stations, etc. If not, they are very common and well-signposted in France. You can even calculate your expected fuel costs.

I would suggest Valencia > Barcelona >  Perpignan > Toulouse > Limoges > Poitiers > Tours > Le Mans > Rouen > Calais as it's less busy, fewer tolls, avoids Paris - and nice scenery.

Hope this helps!
