I actually have a Sabadell account I am trying to close, high charges and dreadful service from office in San Pedro. In an empty office, with all my id etc ,I was told in perfect English and very rudely they could not deal with me in branch as I needed to go to Pilar where they had a translator. I don't for a second expect English everywhere and am reasonably competent in Spanish, not business level though.
I did try in Spanish, at which point the clerk made a point of speaking as fast as possible in Spanish, then finished with a smile and said in perfect English- " see, you don't speak Spanish" . Obviously has an issue with British people.
