I’ve just seen the call for mass vaccination for those born between 2010 and 2013 by appointment for only (for which you need access to the Spanish healthcare system and make an appointment.

My kids were born in 2007 and 2009 and we have private healthcare. I can find no information anywhere saying if we can vaccinate them both, how or where.

I have asked the private health clinic, public clinic, pharmacies and my health insurer. No one appears to know.

Is there anyone on here in the same situation as me and resolves this?

Thank you.

hi i felt i must reply to you post regarding your efforts to get vaccinations , when my wife and i wanted to get our first jabs we were also on private health ins and we were totally unaware that  you must be registered on the Spanish health system first and  we didnt even know how to go about this as you would not be notified by txt if not registered .Luckily some one kindly told us to go speak to MIGUEL at Liberty Seguros . He very kindly copied our passports and e mailed off our reg to the relevant authorities , we did not receive a txt however s o then asked our private health provider to put us on the spanish health register  which they did.WE still did not get a txt or call to go for the jab untill we were told ignore the appointment rule and just turn up .WE have done so  for the 3 jabs now without any problems just by showing the NIE. I would suggest you ask either your health ins to get your family registered or go to speak with MIGUEL ( no charges involved ) im aware an appointment is preferable but sometimes you have to try to cut corners and take a chance on turning up they can only say no but in our experience they realise you wldnt be there if didnt want the jabs and its in their interests to give it . Good luck hope all goes well

regards Alan
