Hi Guys,

Just got an urge to thank all the regular posters on the LA forum for updates, wishing the business's and lovely people of LA to keep positive amongst this current situation. Difficult we know, currently we are self isolating in the North West of England, hoping that everybody buys into the advice stay at home, the fact we are 2 weeks behind Italy and have a growing test positive rate is surely enough of a warning.!!

Lets hope the reported information that China has experienced a slow down suggests we are 6/7 weeks from having a better understanding of how to arrest this Virus.

Hi to all in Lovely Los Alcazares.

We flew back to UK 2 days ago.  We wish we hadn't!  In Los A everyone taking isolation seriously.  Rules being enforced.  But everyone staying positive and cheerful.  In airports distancing rule being enforced.   Got back to UK and it was all forgotten once we landed.  Everyone milling together.  Hugging/kissing/chatting away.

In our little town it's as if they've never heard of Corona Virus.  Daily life exactly the same!!  Hubby went to get shopping essentials and 4 or 5 came to chat to him. He had to distance himself from them.  Groups in shops, standing close, chatting away.  No masks or gloves worn.  No distancing or precautions being taken by shops.   I really wish we had not come back.

UK Gov are being begged by senior hospital consultants  (Group letter published) We have no testing kits.  Patients not being tested.  Even staff not being tested.  We have no proper safety barrier clothing or equipment.  They say it is terrifying because they have all attended many CV patients, some who have died, and worrie that they may be the cause of transmitting.  But as the UK have NOT been testing for the last 2 months, by pooling their own information on cases and deaths,  they think the chances are there are well over 150 thousand + infected ppl in the UK.  Even many deaths are being put down to pneumonia (in light of no testing) so even the death toll figures are not accurate.

So, if you are reading this in Spain, try to stay put for at least another month until the UK Government finally get it's act together.   Stay safe.

Thank you. We're from the US. So grateful we decided to stay here. The Spaniards are doing the best they can and hubby and I joining them by staying home. So many of them at risk to keep us safe. My heart goes out to all the front liners. BIG KUDOS to ALL. However, in the US still people not taking this seriously.  Some got the nerve to say "We all are going to die of something" Of course until it hits home and the talking stops! For sure, wisdom don't come from books at all. It only takes the old fashion common sense to do the right thing at the right time.

Take care and isolate yourself. It's the right thing to do, this we all know for sure. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Best wishes to you and your loved ones. Best wishes to ALL!!
