Anyone having an outpatient appointment at Los Arcos will find some changes.

On entering there are some new machines. If you have your Tarjeta Sanitaria you put this in a slot - if not you can enter your NIE using a keyboard, verify your info and it prints a ticket, telling you where the waiting room is for your consulation, and giving you a code. This code will be displayed in the waiting area on a screen when you are wanted for the consult, and which cabin/room you should go to.

There is no longer any need to queue at the desk, and the directions to your area are welcome.

Not all speak English and it is advisable to take a translator with you in case important information is missed.

Its a bit hit and miss…best take a translator. Urgencias usually quite busy but not too long a wait.
