I am a retired single lady who has lived in Spain for many years.I had a business on Costa Blanca & continued to live here ,in a small multi-cultural town not far from Benidorm,so have  all the links from there, railway, coach, airport, but in a nice residential area with excellent facilities. My family have gone back to UK so I can now please myself as I no longer need to be on hand to look after my grandchildren. It's a heady feeling!! And I am wanting to start a new life somewhere different but still in Spain.Costa del Sol does not draw me,neither does Torrevieja area.So I am researching Costa Calida which I think would suit me very well. But like all dreams you should be realistic,so I am asking you who live in Los Alcazares, your views. My town at present has supermarkets,a good health clinic, sports centre where I can go to the pool, social clubs if wanted, buses & lots of different nationalities so we can all join in each others activities without an invite, mostly Scandinavian,Dutch,German & of course Spanish who actually don't mind being outnumbered.I am not expecting a replica,or I would stay put,but being an oldie I would like most things nearby since I have given up driving to save the rest of the motoring populace.Your opinions would be appreciated.

I have lived in LA for 3 years & love it.  Great gym & spa with yoga, pilates.  Frequent quiz afternoons. Various dance classes, ladies lunches etc.  Good tranport links. LA great place to live.  Good luck.

Hi

I saw your comments on the yoga etc. Can you tell me where the classes are?

Kathy

Yoga @ Las Velas shopping centre.  Not sure of times.  Also I believe @ Punta Calera, spa & gym both Los Narejos.  Just google for exact position.  Good luck.
