Moving from UK with a Pet

We used a licensed pet transport service to bring our dog across in October. It cost about £800 and took 3 days by road and Eurotunnel. Door to door service.

We used Pet Transport Services who are based in Kent. website is pettransportservices.co.uk. 

There is also one called Golden Paws which charges a similar price and was recommended to us by a neighbour who transports his cat to Spain.

Pet friendly cabin on boat to Bilbao or Santander, foot passenger. Train to Murcia?

Using an authorised pet carrier should ensure all the vet stuff and paperwork is done properly.

Unfortunately, travelling to UK via Bilbao or Santander necessitates a vehicle. No pets with foot passengers.

I transported 3 cats from UK to Spain with PetAir UK.

Choose the Gold standard option to ensure the was no issue.

They were excellent with sending paperwork & translation issues.

I had to prove Rabies vaccination & flu vaccines. Animals have to spent 48 hours in a kennel/cattery where the obtain medical certificate to travel. They needed to be mircochipped.

They were brought to London Gatwick ( picked up in Manchester)

First flight out with BA. Not able to go to Alicate because of import issues since brexit so flown to Malaga.

At cost of £2000 including purpose built wooden crates for all three cats.

Lots of paperwork!!! But help at hand.

Photos sent regular and messages to inform me of how everything was with animals.

Was offered a option to transport to Murcia by Baggage Pets at extra cost as no personal car  to pick up.£800 

Would recommend them very highly to anyone bring pets abroad.

We brought 2 dogs over July this year 

We used outward bound they were so go picked them uk the van was adapted all air conditioned 

You were able to track the van and each time they stopped for a break they sent photos of the dogs on a walk 

The cost from uk to Spain £400 

Dogs were so looked after and arrived happy
