Yes it’s very unclear. I would have thought this type of enquiry would be quite important as most with a uk state pension are entitled to apply for the S1.

Hi - Upsticks a company in Malaga helped with all our docs and filled in all the forms for us too,  they are fantastic !.

We had confirmation from the Spanish consulate in Manchester within 8 days saying all was ok and for us to pick our visas up?.

Hope this helps

Just had confirmation from Manchester that our Visa has been approved, two weeks after our appointment.

Full steam ahead now in booking Tunnel crossing, hotels, removals, Animal Health Certificate......

Congratulations guys.  Manchester seem to be so much better than London.  I had to wait 5 weeks for acceptance but I've been to Murcia twice and now have my TIE for the first year.  Hope your trip and everything goes smoothly now.

Hi Vic,

Thank you....you have been a great help in wading through this process.

I have an appointment in Murcia for the day after we get to our place to register and start the process, as I then have to fly back to the UK to wind things up.

Regards

Frank

Hi Paul,

Excellent...let us know how the drive goes. We're going to be driving from the Tunnel down to our place, so a bit longer to go!

Regards,

Frank

NON LUCRATIVE VISA

Hi

I know that I need to show I have enough money to survive in Spain and I have most of the info to move toward for the Visa.

I’ll just not straight on one thing .

I have a personal pension that I have a Summary of, I was told I could use this as evidence but would also need a substantial amount (10k) in a back account .

I was hoping I could leave it in my pension pot, as I will get taxed drawing first year down.

Hope I’ve made sense

Thank you

Hi Stevo,

We too are going through the NLV application process. Almost to the point of contacting the consulate in Manchester to book our appointment. The Police Checks are currently going through, medical forms have been done by the Dr. Application forms EX-01 and the 790 have been completed. Just waiting for an address in Spain (rental) so I can get Med Insurance.

As far as I understand you need to prove approx 33,000 Euros in disposable income for you first year. That income can come from bonds, investments, pension payments or income from rental property, it can also be a mixture of savings and pension/income.

Just so I am right, if anybody is following this thread; Been advised by my medical insurance broker that we need an address in Spain so they can arrange cover. Its a bit confusing given that we`ll be buying in Spain so dont yet have a permanent address - has anybody encountered this?

Good luck Stevo

Hi Frank,

Hearty congratulations. Our police checks are under way (5 day return), forms filled in, med insurance quote received, medical forms filled in. I have an Apostille lined up.

Just one question. We aim to buy when we are in Spain (hopefully start of Feb 22). Our medical insurance providers have asked for an address in Spain - how did you overcome this, or do you already have an address in Spain?
