I had a middle aged man try to pull me into his car about 3 weeks ago by Asia Star.  Luckily my husband was coming down the road.  I was shaken & needless to say I didn’t go for a Chinese. I know all the mans car details but won’t go to the police because of their complete lack ...

...of care/interest.  Take care all.

Surely if you have the car details the police will act,its totally different from someone having little or no details. I would certainly have informed the police immediately.

So is having a CCTV camera at your own property not allowed either?

Did someone post saying you can have CCTV on your own property as long as it doesn't show further than the boundary of your property.

I haven't seen it but it makes sense. Not very helpful though, sorry.

Crazy, but at least it does allow a person's home and boundary to be protected. I guess the problem with burglary, muggings is unfortunately something we get wherever we live nowadays but Police showing little interest is ridiculous.

Just an observation. You say the Police SEEM to have little interest, however this is not necessarily FACT.

Did you give your report in Spanish or just expected the Police to speak English. That I find is a significant factor. When I last had to go, I made the effort with my limited Spanish and bingo...they paid attention and everything was done.

If you don't speak Spanish I would highly recommend taking an interpreter to get the results you want.

We took an interpreter. We would not assume that they would speak English.

I don’t believe anyone with limited Spanish would go to see an official without an interpreter. Would be such an insult to medics, police etc.

We would like to thank all who have commented on this. The whole experience of the mugging has been awful and hope that others will not have to go through our experience. Bill
