Hi George,

yes Andy is very efficient, I’ve recently received my tax certificate back, I will pay this at the bank.

can you please remind me the benefit or need for you to acquire a Digital Certificate?

Thanks….

Thanks for your comments but I wanted last year to control my own affairs and that included pay my taxes - the main one being my Non-Resident Impuesto (Income tax), payable to The Murcia Tax Authorities (Agentia Tributaria), rather than have local Gestorias or Lawyers charg me Fees.  This is entirely possible and free by having a certified method of legal identification as verified by Sede.  Below is a translation of the Sede website page applicable and as the months go by, they are making the whole process available on the web at: https://www.sede.fnmt.gob.es/certificados/persona-fisica

"How can I get the Certificate?

There are 4 different ways to get your Citizen Electronic Certificate as a downloadable file on your computer or mobile device:

Who can get an e-Citizen Certificate?

Any Spanish or foreign citizen, of age or minor who is in possession of his or her ID or NIE, may apply for and obtain his digital certificate free of charge to sign and prove his identity safely on the Internet.

What's the use?

The Citizen Electronic Certificate will allow you to carry out procedures safely with the Public Administration and Private Entities through the Internet, such as:

  • Presentation and settlement of taxes
  • Submission of resources and claims
  • Completing the population and housing census data
  • Consultation and registration in the municipal register
  • Consultation of traffic fines
  • Consultation and procedures for applying for grants
  • Consultation on the allocation of polling stations
  • Informationd actions
  • Electronic signature of official documents and forms

Thanks to its FNMT Certificate of Citizen you can forget about unnecessary travel and waits.

Where can I use my Certificate?

The following link details some of the services offered to the citizen by agencies and entities. Access to secure web pages requires the browser from which you access to have the certificate installed."

However, this is as far as I have proceeded as some of the requirements for Identification are difficult but I keep trying as I am interested in 'cracking the nut'!

It's no all about money but a deeper understanding and something to satisfy my analytic brain!

Regards, George
