Looking for practitioner of holistic healing for dogs

I had eczma years ago and it drove me mad (mine was due to a chemical at work) or it could be a dietary thing. I read an incredible book by the lady??Jennifer??) who wrote "Call the midwife" books-she got eczma in her 50's, and eventually found by an exclusion diet, it was a type of food. She was free of it very quickly, as was I when I changed jobs. I feel very negative about eczma/dermatitis treatments-steroids were awful on my facial skin-the NHS consultant was useless. Stress can also create good conditions for eczma. Also if the skin is disturbed in any way, nasty bacteria leap in, usually Staphylococcus pyogenes/aureus, which stop the skin from healing. I was eventually sorted out by a crusty old RAF retired Dr who told me I was a Staph carrier (in my nose) and gave me some antibiotic cream.Wonderful ! I hope your dog gets better. My old lab had acupuncture and homeopathy for his arthritis, my friend's cat had homeopathy for a bad case of cat flu and he got better but was also put on a raw meat diet, to help his immune system. What do you feed your dog with?  The problem with the dried stuff is that it is cereal based and - despite all the "vet recommended" promises - is NOT what dogs should be fed. Dogs evolved from wolves who are meat eaters.  We used to feed our Max on the tinned meat with the cute doggy on the tin, but then my missus read up on species appropriate feeding and we switched him to raw mince.    Tinned dog food works out about the same cost as raw meat. We buy it in bulk, mince it, and freeze in portion sized packs - yes, it's more work than opening a tin or scooping some dried stuff, but what price is your dog's health?   We also mix in vegetables, finely ground up with a trace of turmeric and coconut oil.  (Look up "Muttloaf" on Google).   Every now and then a 62c tin of sardines makes a nice, if smelly, change.   The change in Max has been surprising - he went from being a lumbering 12 year old dog to skipping up steps again.  Our other dog is a rescue and suffered from untreated tick bites - this diet has brought her back to rude health - the tick bites had scabbed and become hard to heal - we are applying a paste made from bee pollen and coconut oil and the sites are healing.   The last secret weapon is CBD Oil, originally bought for us to stave off the aches and pains of time, but a drop on each dog's gums has made a marked improvement in their lives. Look up CBD oil on google. Antibiotics have their place, but any chemical based substance exacts a price. Humans lived for thousands of years before pharmaceutics were invented and the medicines they used were all freely available in nature.

The internet has huge resource of information .... that's where we found how turn our 12 year old grump into a pup and,  our abused and distrustful rescue girl into a sleek cuddle monster. We've just taken on a 4 month firework who is challenging us in a battle of wills and wee-ing rights.
