Any advice on moving pets from Spain to UK on a regular ( yearly for 3 months ) basis. Thanks any advice appreciated. They are completely up to date with passport jabs and all that.

Will be expensive - not many airlines/airports do this, and road transport similarly will cost and take a few days.

It could be kinder to the pets to get someone in the UK to look after them?

We live in Spain and are staying in UK for only 3 months so we would be without them for 9 months every year, I can't do that. Thanks for the teply

A friend who is a vet advised not to fly dogs in the hold of planes unless you absolutely have to - he says there is a disproportionate percentage of deaths and he would never do it.

If you feel confident & competent to drive, then take your time, drive through France or take the Bilbao / Santander to Plymouth / Portsmouth ferries. On the ferries, you can either have the dog in onboard kennels or even book a cabin where your dog can stay with you. Many hotels in France accept dogs, if you decide to drive that way.

If they are registered in Spain and have a 'european passport' this is far simpler and cheaper than bringing your dog from the UK, when you will need a certificate every trip.

Hope this helps!
