When we took holidays in the canaries we found best exchange rates for cash from the numerous tobacconists.

We are coming out in the next couple of weeks staying in Ciudad Quesada.

Where would be best for cash exchange.

TIA

Consider getting yourself a Wise card.  The exchange rate is in my experience always higher.  The card can be used to with euros from banks and also as a debit card in shops and restaurants.

Thanks for that. I have a chase card which I believe is similar.

Yes a Wise.com euro account with a debit card is the way to go.

The only snag with a Wise.com debit card is that you will be charged by the ATM machines to withdraw cash.

This is NOT a charge by Wise.com it is a charge by the ATM operators.

It varies widely as to what you will be charged.
