Tried that and it wont work states: No puede dejar el campo numerof vacio - You cannot leave the field numerof empty

Apologies that is where you enter car registration. Try it again

I've tried that too, with the following error message popping up:

There is no debt with those parameters. Check the data and try again

Can only assume that the car tax has not been done for this year, and last years was registered in Alicante by the dealership, that perhaps I need to search on an Alicante agency website?

I have been in touch with Zamora a gestora in Mazarron and they have told me the following:

Hello,

If you bought it this year 2022 you do not have to pay road tax until 2023.

I have to therefore assume that the dealer hs already paid the IVTM.

Update on our car documents.

The first document we received was:-

JUSTIFICANTE PROFESIONAL DE TRAMITACIÓN
DE VEHÍCULOS

which has a 90 day validity period.

The second document we have just received is:-

autorización provisional de circulación del vehículo

This has a further 90 day period. We have been told now by the dealer and a Gestoría that we should receive the full document within the next few weeks, so fingers crossed..

We have also recently received this document:-

ITV TARJETA DE INSPECCIÓN TÉCNICA DEL VEHÍCULO

this is dated 2021 When the car new and first registered by the dealer. This is in the dealers name. We have been told that this remains with the car and is transferred to any subsequent owner and does not need to have the owners name on it.

Is this correct?

IVTM

We have finally managed to find out after talking to two Gestorías that this was paid for by the dealer at the beginning of the year, and confirmed by our local town hall. The only disconcerting matter is that we cannot obtain a duplicate copy.

Sorry forgot to add as the car was only first registered in 2021 (1 year old) that will not need test until 2025. Which already had been advised (thank you) in this thread.
