I have my nie, our solicitor is applying for johns at moment..

We will be applying for residency and will need private health care, ive had a few quotes. But its my understanding that after one year you can apply to pay into the social security system which is slighly cheaper.

We age 58 and 59 but have an income..

Only thing i worried about is the cost of prescriptions.

Don't worry about prescription charges, for most things the farmacies will sell for cash.

As for your paperwork see Debbie Shaw, she can usually be found in the Medical Centre doing translating.

re Health Care, the spanish Government are just bringing in a new law to give free health care to anybody living here so get some advice on that, it has only just been announced this week so early days yet.

We are moving october as well..sector B1. Cant wait to settle in.

Where do we go to get our padron?

Any advice welcome..

Need to organise transporting of furniture over and our little dog.

So again any suggestions of removal companies .we coming from central Scotland would be welcome..

Do charity shops over there pick up any unwanted furniture?

would u not be cheaper selling furniture and re buying it costs 1000s to move,£1000 cubic metre , u can get furnture packs  less than 6000

some only 3 500

go to you tube , place in the sun, dorset guy that moved to camposol  with his furniture, he will also give u costs to live there

hope this helps

you can get a move from as little as E80 per cubic mtr.......lady at Mariano's car boot stall on Sunday.....she sells food on the stall from the UK.....her husband brings it over when he does his removal runs? its worth an ask if your over b4 you make the final move.......don't know anymore details ...sorry lords removal have also been recommended to us. Yes you can get good quality furniture over in Spain.......it depends on how much you are attached to what you have now? were leaving our furnitue in the UK....good luck.
