Lost bag and airpods

Hi, we've 'lost' a travel bag with various items in including traceable airpods, so we know which address the items are in. If we tell the police, will they go round to the address? The complication is that we are now back in the UK- the missing bag was discovered as we dropped our car off at Alicante Airport. As yet, we've not reported the incident as we don't know how to do this from the UK. How would we do this? I have had to previously report a car related crime and that had to be face to face at the Guardia Civil. Any help with the process would be massively appreciated 🙏.
