Hi Emma

We bought in the Ricote Valley over a year ago now and moved in last Christmas.

If you would like to meet up and have a chat that would be lovely.

Hi all

A friend and I have a holiday home in Blanca but I haven't really noticed any other users on this forum from any of the seven towns that make up the beautiful Ricote Valley. It is just us?! I'm not even sure if we're technically part of the Costa Calida but this is the only forum I've been able t...

...o find for the general area at all.

No specific questions at the moment - the second round of renovations on our house will start shortly and we're due to come out mid-July but I'm sure we'll have questions in the future (and will be looking to buy furniture etc).

Would just be good to say hi to anyone in the surrounding area!

Emma

Hi Emma. There are definitely other people here from your area. We have recently moved from France to the Ricote Campo area.

Hi Emma,

We had a great holiday and managed to get a few things done whilst we were there.

Can’t give you any info on 2nd hand furniture shops as we’re still getting to know the area each time we visit.

Hope your time away is productive but also fun. It’s gonna be scorching so I hope you’ve got your factor 50 😉

Hi Pat

Glad you had a good time!! Yup, temperatures are really ramping up!

Agents sent us to a “proper” second hand furniture place last September but it didn’t really have much actual house furniture. Lots of doors and windows (!) and even more commercial stuff (chillers and professional kitchen stuff etc). That’s why we’re hoping for car boot sale type events. But we have been contacted by someone with a fair bit for sale and we’re just working out putting in an offer for some of it!

Have you got your factor 50 ready?? Lol

Hope the renovations are completed as you were hoping and that you manage to get some bits of furniture.

Enjoy

Pat

Hi Emma,

Hope you are well and had an enjoyable holiday?

How’s the renovations coming along?

Did you manage to source some furniture on your last visit?

Regards

Pat

Hello back!!

How exciting for you! Ricote is lovely (as is the whole area)! Good luck with your move. We’re not even sure we’ll get to our place this year at this rate. Two trips booked in the next 6 weeks but today’s announcement that we’d have to quarantine for 14 days on our return means we might well have to postpone. 😢
