We bought on the Taray urbanization in San Cayetano a year ago and love it there. The village is traditionally Spanish and has everything you need but ten minutes drive away are all the big supermarkets and the coast. There are two good shopping centres about twenty minutes drive away. There is a mix of nationalities in the village. You will always find someone to chat to in the local bars and everyone is very friendly. It isn’t far enough inland for us to be bothered that much with mosquitoes and flies which were a real nuisance at our previous place. We would definitely recommend it there. There isn’t any public transport from the village though. Hope this helps.

The train station is in Balsicas which is about a ten minute drive away. We’ve never used taxis because we’ve always driven here or hired a car at Alicante airport but I would imagine they would be very easy to use. There is a local English bar here called Lemons and Limes where you can usually find English people either residents or holiday home owners. I think you would get plenty of information about the village and surrounding areas from chatting to them or the people who run the bar as they were really helpful when we arrived. Maybe if you come out looking at property pop in there for a coffee. Also have a walk around the village and see what you think.
