Have you actually put a deposit on it before you view it? If so how do you know it exists?

If it does exist and you don't like it , will you get your money back?

Just a thought.

Hi, sorry I don't know that area, but i would like to wish you both the best of luck with this exciting phase of your life, most if not all these areas have an ex pat community, try also to befriend the local Spanish community and you will have the best of both worlds

Buenos surte & Feliz Navidad

Hello...

Personally do not know the area although do have acquaintance friends who live there.  Yes there is an ex-pat community and obviously Spanish live there too.  Would say you need a car to get around.  About 15 minutes by car to the beach.  Balsicas Train Station very close by ...if you are of Pensionable Age you can get a Tarjeta Dorada Rail Card (under 10€ I think) and you will get great discounts on Rail Travel.  Into Murcia, Alicante, Valencia and Barcelona all for much cheaper than U.K. travel.

Good Luck.

Marg

Hi Neil, we moved into our house on the outskirts of San Cayetano in September and love the village. It has all the usual facilities and a nice mix of nationalities.

Our closest beach is Santiago de la Ribera, which is 10 mins drive away.

Lemons & Limes is a bar run by an English family and is a great place to meet people. Look forward to meeting you next year. Julia

You definitely need a car to get anywhere...there is an expat coffee morning every Monday at the Garden Bar in Los Alcazares 11:00 its about 10/15 mins from San Cayetano but lots come from there...its a great way to meet people and find out whats going on.
