Welcome to all the newcomers to the area. I am a new subscriber to this Forum website but we have had a place in Santiago de la Ribera since 2002.. You will all (hopefully) find this to be a truly marvellous area... Peaceful and pleasant with a lovely climate... Kms of easy walking/cycling routes... All in all a great place to be !!!... We don't live out in Santiago all the time at present but there many times throughout the year... Shall be there most of the time from next June... In the meantime, if any of you would fancy meeting for a drink etc. and perhaps have many questions.., with been here for such a long time there may be a good possibility I can point you in the right direction !!!. my gmail account is [email protected] should you wish to write and we could arrange a meet up... I am next back out there on the evening of 03.11.16. Look forward to hearing from anyone. Don't be shy !!!. Best regards to all and once again... congratulations on your recent aquisitions in Murcia !!!. All the very best to all. Martin P.

J/S,

So lovely to hear from you, and so quickly after I wrote on the forum...  I also have only just left there last week... That is a shame you won't be about until February. but no doubt I will be around then as well. All through the time we have had the house I visit every 6 weeks (all year round) to open the place up and do maintenance/cleaning etc. oh and of course "socialising" a little !!!. It is such a change when I visit as being in the Shetland Isles working makes me really appreciate the lovely climate !!!! Keep in touch... "Always good to talk" as they say !!!... All the best to you and once again, thanks for writing back so soon !!!. Martin P. x

Hi Martin , great to read how happy with the area you are ,we leave after having 6 wounderful weeks here ( lo pagan) next Sunday. Our villa is being built at the moment , had lots of hiccups along the way , but we think it's all sorted now fingers crossed. We won't be back till next Feb March time , but would be great to meet up next year sometime. All the best Christine & Robin x
