Hi - we bought in VDS in the early days of the pandemic !  we really like the area , big plots , easy access to just about everywhere - the big difference of course is the water  - its agricultural ....even with filters a plenty - I would still not drink the tap water but then I wouldn't anywhere so not an issue for us.

The up side of this is that the water is cheap so you can grow plenty of plants , fruit trees etc and not worry about irrigation costs.   ..... its a nice quiet area , lots of multi-nationals around as neighbours including several Brits  .  The legal issue you refer to yes is still there in essence but so long as you get the plot checked out properly , there is no real issue especially after all the time that has passed now .....Very happy to be there  - K
