I know its a strange time to post but I am early 40s and retired except for some internet businesses i can run from anyway.

I am thinking of moving to La Manga or at least within walking distance and playing sports most days plus working a bit online.

Is there a decent sized social ex pat community at La Manga..(I know the club is shut now)

What do residents there now think.

Also what is the best way to get a property ..initially would come for a month and really just need a big one bedroom or 2 bedroom property. Later on a guess something  bigger

ps this plan timing wise is COVID19 dependent obviously

pps been travelling last 4 years so no deep home roots BUT do absolutely love tennis

Hi myself and partner are looking for some land to buy to live on and grow our own food etc. We dont have a huge budget but looking to see whats out there and prices. Could add to it with part rental towards buying outright. Love the countryside and peace and quiet. Obviously wont be able to view until things get back to normal. Have friends in calabardina and love aguilas so near to there if possible but open to anything. Regards

Hi. I have no Spanish bank account, and need to find an ATM which won't charge me. Anybody know of one in San Javier please? 

Does anyone remember the days when Camposol  B,C,D sector was being built. The lorries and dust in the mornings and the excitement of waking up with the sun blasting through the bedroom window, cheap food and drink. Yes those were the days.

PS. No electricity, water bills or council tax to pay.

My advice is,If your thinking of moving to Spain as a resident, go while your still young. We moved in 2004 when we were both 57 and make sure you have a property to return to. A lot of couples we know have returned home, due to one thing and another. Of the original couples who moved to our road only 2 remain and one of them is currently up for sale. Its great if your young enough to enjoy it and please buy a property with central heating as it gets very cold at night in the winter.

I hope this doesn't put anyone off because its a great life.

Hello again everyone ..can anyone here please tell me who to call or where to go to get my phone or my iPad fixed..I've got in contact with Sewelly but no joy.. would really appreciate someone's help to get us here in Ireland and the UK to get some sort of communication with my Cousin who is living in Javier on her own...
