We are relocating to Spain January 18 initially for 8 months to see how we get on.

We are struggling to find a property to rent around the port area.

Any recommendations?

I've contacted quite a few agents but they have either ignored my emails or are saying they do not know next years availability yet. It's quite frustrating especially as the properties are advertised on a long term letting site.

We are looking to fly over end of October early November to view properties and pay the 8 months up front.

If anyone can recommend an agent or direct owner it would be most appreciated.

Hello I am a 71 year old single lady thinking of spending a few months a year in Spain to enjoy the sunshine and wondered whether I'd be able to join in with the expat community.  Are there other single ladies living out there?  I'm very sociable and I'm a huge ManU fan and like to watch the matches.  I love music and theatre and like to take part in whatever's happening in the community a volunteer.  I'm also wondering what type of accommodation might be available for say approximately 3 months. I expect I would need to hire a car - is that expensive?  I have been to the area a couple of times on holiday quite some years back and loved it.  I've been used to expat living in the past and think I would enjoy a whole new experience now that I'm retired,.
