HI all, Can someone please tell me how to pay the suma (road tax) for my car from U.K.
Thanks.
Does anybody know of a good product for getting rid of a urine stain on a mattress?
When we came to settle in Spain back in 2012, I was still working for a U.K. company & paying income tax & N.I. into HMRC.
In 2015, I retired & went on to the Spanish fiscal system - but retaining my UK bank account as well as a Spanish bank account.
Being somewhat "green" on arrival in Spain in 2012, I used a recommended legal agent for my financial affairs.
Whilst my legal agent incorrectly submitted my annual tax returns as a "being employed" - when in fact my sole income was UK state pension & another untaxable pension - they also failed to inform me about the Form M720.
On speaking to a another legal outfit last year, specialising in fiscal matters, (they advised me I should not have paid income tax for 4 years!! - and got me a tax refund!!) - they asked if I had submitted the form M720 - I said I had never heard of it as my legal agent had not told me about it.
They said the penalties for not doing so were horrendous - could be 3X the amount above 70K Euros - so if you had £70K in a UK bank equating to say 80K Euros you could be liable for a fine 3 x 10K Euros!! - scary. The EU commission has questioned such horrendous fines I believe.
I had to provide information on my UK bank holdings per year dating back to 2016 - for which one M720 was submitted.
M720, as I understand it, covers for ALL assets out side of Spain, including owned properties, bank accounts, stocks, bonds -you name it, & if your assets increase by 20K Eu since the last M720 submittal - they want to know about it.
I think anyone coming to permanently reside in Spain should be aware & research for a bona fide agent, & not a "back door" agent I was recommended.
We saw on Murcia Today that over 50's could get their boosters on a walk in basis, however it doesn't say where the locations are. We are not on the health system so cannot pre book online so this is our option. Can anyone help with information please?
Hi all we have recently purchased a apartment in the area for holidays at the moment and possibly longer stays in the future .We have also bought a car to get around as car hire seems very high ,my question is can anyone recommend a local garage for carrying out repairs services and the ITV test when ready English speaking would be better at first as my Spanish is limited at the moment and also is there anything like a Halfords to buy bits and bobs from. Thankyou in advance
Have cleaned bathroom thoroughly since arriving 5 days ago and it smells horrible!! No leaks or stains anywhere. What could it be?
Returned to our property in Lo Pagan to find most downstairs walls flaked up to about half a meter. Have been told they we are in a high humidity area and this is common. Builder coming tomorrow to rectify problem and says it shouldn’t happen again. Be pleased to hear of other people’s experience and remedy
Having been in Spain now over 5 years my advice to anyone wanting to come and live here is rent a property do not buy. I am tired of watching “ Place in the Sun” Sun, Sea and Selling Homes” forcing people into buying houses sometimes in places they have never even been before. They never explain the full cost of the purchase on TV (Legal charges)therefore misleading people. Think about it long and hard and crunch the figures. € 6000 per annum rent is a normal figure and can sometimes include electricity and water. purchase a property at €180,000 and you could have rented for 30years and if you only stay 5 years and want to go home you still have €150,000 in the bank. Just look at the alternative options before falling into a trap that is costly to escape from.
Hi everyone.
Has anyone out there got a self clearing balay oven.
We bought ours at euronics, have tried but not been successful at getting it to self clean.
Any information on how to do it properly would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
