Assuming you are already a Cajamar client try leaving a message  - best in Spanish so use armeabi or Google translate if not good with the language - on "your personal manager" when signed in on their website. Mine usually responds quickly and is very good, but that is Benamargosa!

I've just noticed Sabedell have charged me €18 for receiving money, I used xe. Com as always. I looked into it, rang Sabedell, and its because we are now not in the EU, so classed a 3rd countries we are now treated accordenly, I have a basic account with Sabedell so the cost of receiving money is 0.35% minimum €18, there is a account I change to for non residents, its called a key account, which allows you to transfer amounts upto 20k without charge, which I will do when next out in Spain, as to do it you have to actually go into your own branch, I hope this helps. Good luck everyone.

Probably because they have been inundated with complaints and don’t want to lose customers especially  in this difficult time. Those who don’t question the charges will still be charged and nothing said.

Unless the refund is a one off

Time will tell if all banks follow suit.

I think the more that complain and move there bank accounts the more they will look up, The one thing they are sort sighted is anyone want to buy out there all of a sudden it’s going to cost a lot more

I have tried registering for the Cajamar Wefferent account but it will not accept my NIE (I presume that I should be able to use this when it asks for NIF) nor will it accept my residencia card number. I asked for a 'call back' from Cajamar two days ago and still waiting.  Suggestions welcome.

If you are a non-resident, you have to go to a branch to open a Wefferent account at Cajamar. Only residents can open on*line.
