I am currently with Compusurf, but having problems with TV programme installed and been advised to change providers. I believe the other (Intech?) One on Camposol B has closed down. Any advice please? THANKS

We recently swapped to Telecable. Offices on A adjacent to the old Vista Bar. Entirely satisfied.

The advantage to Compusurf is the ability to buy one weeks internet access at a time.

We swapped to telecable 2 years ago. Only had one issue which was out of their control and they refunded a month's payment.

We pay 30 a month including iva. Luckily telecable was installed in our road so they could set us up. Sorry can't remember the installation charge.

We use Compusurf and it works just fine.

We stream BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Prime, Disney, Apple TV, Paramount, 5 & All 4 with few issues.

There have been occasions when buffering happens, but Compusurf are pretty good at sorting issues out.
It also pays to clear the caches on streaming devices frequently. Particularly with Firesticks.

We can get most of the UK TV channels via IPTV (installed by Compusurf on our Firesticks), but mainly watch those via the satellite system because it's just simpler. The TV has a Satellite Receiver built in.

The quailty of IPTV signal received very much depends on how it's sourced, routed and by whom.

Thanks all for your information.

Not sure what clearing the caches means. Recently bought firestick which I thought was the answer to all these problems 🤔

A Firestick uses some on board memory to retain data on channels & programmes. That's the 'Cache' memory. Unfortunately, the cache is a memory hog as it doesn't usually clear itself. It just keeps on eating up available memory. This creates a problem when streaming, if memory runs short. Buffering can result.

It's a good idea to clear the cache regularly.

On Firestick 'Home' you will see, probably on the centre line, on the right a Gear Icon. That selects the Settings options.
After clicking on that, you will see panels for various options. One is 'Applications', click on that.
The next screen will have a 'Manage Installed Applications' option.
Move the highlight bar to that and click.
A list of installed applications will be displayed. Moving the highlight bar to each application will display current properties, including the amount of Cache memory currently tied up by the application.

You will see a hint on how to clear the cache for each one. Do them individually.
If you see any, where the Cache is in mb, then that's significant memory not available for streaming.

BE CAREFULL ! For some applications there WILL be an 'Uninstall' option. Be sure that you only press the button to clear the Cache. The 'Clear Cache' & 'Uninstall' buttons are next to each other on the Firestick remote.

I strongly suggest that you practice navigating the system before taking any firm action.

We were looking to change as when we were there in Sept paid for internet with Compusurf and it would not connect. Told to do a speedtest but impossible as no connection. Everytime we went to sector A noone there. Just looking for holiday home set up.

??

The Compusurf office is on Sector B.

Their opening hours are posted on their website and are on the display at their premises.

They will also respond to text messages.

I have always found them to be very helpful. We've been using their service these past four years.
