Hi Sean, I love Isla plana, you are very lucky I rented for a few months on Mojon Hills a few years ago and hopefully one day can call Spain home. Unfortunately my budget won't stretch to a seaside location so am thinking about Camposol but I doubt a push bike will be sufficient.
If it's not a rude question, is insurance expensive and a nightmare. I speak no Spanish and have no no claims discounts etc just a clean license.

Ncar insurance a bit cheaper than uk and includes recovery and any driver

You should still try and find somewhere in Isla Plana it is the best location around. I bought a car and insurance was about €250 When I was renting I took out my own yearly insurance for about €50.

Rentalcars.com on the web is a good place to look. I've used this site to rent cars from all over the world. Take out your own insurance before you travel.
