All of the UK is rough, and getting worse by the day.

Gangs, stabbings, children getting shot in their own homes, criminals being released from prison and killing again within weeks.

Ilegal imigrants, not paying in a penny, but getting everything, while british families go to food banks.

The immigrants being drug runners, killers, rapists, child molestors.

Just read the news.

UK electric bills £400 average along with gas bills, rates up 35 percent, interest rates climbing, people cannot pay there bills, remain hungry and cold.

Snow ice and floods,

Not so bad here after all.

Lol, bit harsh but true, certain crimes and types of people on Camposol to though, but you’ve the weather and price differences agreed but it’s not like we said, what it was is it …… in my 5 years there, no improvement but we’d discussed all this earlier…..but I agree try and enjoy, if not there are plenty of other places in Spain better than there believe me

Even the poshest places are seeing murder, robberies, and certainly sky high bills.

Places that sell for millions being robbed, and owners held at knife point.

But as you say not all places, as they have been robbed blind already.

Nurses, fire fighters, ambulance drivers, train drivers, border force, teachers, all on strike.

People with urgent operations and treatment needed for cancer, all stopped, doctors appointments just unobtainable, hospital beds full.

Immigrants just pouring into the country and given everything for free, food prices through the roof.

And on and on.

Sorry, but true.

I though this discussion was about the burglaries on Camposol and what is happening in Spain. Not sure what relevance the situation in the UK is to this discussion. Maybe you could start a separate thread on issues in the UK?

Just answering a post re UK compared to Camposol.

Some one said they would now not stay here, after renting for months, as its not safe etc, well compared to UK, they can now add it up.

Wendy woo didn’t mention the UK and hoops65 didn't say he is going back to the UK, just not buying on Camposol, so you weren’t answering a post, you were introducing a new concept that has nothing to do with the burglaries on Camposol, hence my suggestion to start a new thread if you want to cogitate and ruminate about the goings on in another country. Not everyone in this forum is from the UK.

We bought on A a few months ago and are moving there permanently in the next few weeks. When we bought, we did our research, read about some of the issues on C & D and decided we would only buy on A. At no time did we read about it being a rough area and at the time there was no talk of all t...

...hese burglaries so please don’t assume that everyone is the same. I am horrified to read of all these burglaries and it has certainly taken the shine off my move.

Don't worry. We did our research as well and were aware of all the issues with Camposol. We also only wanted to buy on Sector A which we did and we absolutely love it here. Our property is in great condition (again) after we've put in alot of work. We have an alarm, we have security cameras and great permanent neighbors and we keep a close look on eachother's properties. People are very vocal about the bad stuff while all the good stuff hardy gets mentioned. We don't regret our move for a second and we come from an area with almost zero crime where people haven't locked their doors for 30 years. Just be smart about what you're doing and how you're doing it and you'll be fine. Just enjoy your new life here in Spain!

Pathetic thing to say

Why? Mazarrón is in the top 10 of poorest regions of Spain so it's reality. The corona pandemic hit Spain more than most European countries (about 50 billion euro a year in tourism income lost) and the poor are always the ones affected the most in times of economic hardship. So more crime and more burglaries are to be expected in these times. Want to buy a property similar to a Rosa or a Neptuno in other Spanish regions like Torrevieja or Marbella and you'll pay at least 100.000+ euro more for the same property. So basically the statement made is 100% correct. You move to a "rough" area of Spain (because of the low price level) so you should expect a specific set of circumstances as well.

Please let me know the area that people do not lock their doors, I will consider moving there, it must be the rarest place on earth.

As this thread seems to have turned into a free for all for people to post irrelevant stuff, I may as well join in. The following link takes you to a document posted on the council web site called Camposol Situation. Some people going to tomorrow’s meeting at Mariano’s may find it interesting. I am posting the English language link. It is also available in Spanish.
