As this thread seems to have turned into a free for all for people to post irrelevant stuff, I may as well join in. The following link takes you to a document posted on the council web site called Camposol Situation. Some people going to tomorrow’s meeting at Mariano’s may find it interesting...

.... I am posting the English language link. It is also available in Spanish.

What link?

I added the link 3 times but this site doesn’t seem to like them. Suggest you go to Mazarron.es you will find it.

Please let me know the area that people do not lock their doors, I will consider moving there, it must be the rarest place on earth.

It is getting rare fast that's certainly true. But it does not matter, I do not believe you'd consider moving there.

We do not want to be served like Royalty, just protected, break ins stopped, and that will require day and night police patrols, or is that Royalty.?

No that's not royalty but it's not realistic either. I have lived in 4 different European countries and in none of those have I ever experienced visible day and night police patrols on a daily basis. And all those 4 countries are wealthier than Spain and in all those countries I have paid more taxes than I will ever pay in Spain. If you want day and night police patrols I would expect you think the people in the Port, in Mazarrón town, in Bolnuevo, in Isla Plana and La Azohia deserve the same. Do you have any idea how much larger the local police force has to become to make that possible? And the council should just finance that through IBI? Just some day and night patrols are not going to make much difference for burglars if those patrols don't happen almost every hour. The police presence has to be felt so they have to be visible very frequently. Otherwise burglars won't be scared away. So if that is the kind of security you want to feel protected then you will need a Camposol police station with a permanent police presence and WE will have to pay for that because we are demanding way more security than everybody else in the Mazarrón region is getting.

Tell that to the people who have been broken into, and if you were at the meeting today, you would have heard the answer.

I was at the meeting and I heard the answer. Did you really listen or do you just want to endlessly complain, be negative and do nothing? As I have said before and was confirmed today at the meeting: The Mazarrón county is large (as in a large amount of square miles to cover for the police) and the police is seriously understaffed. They are working on it with 12 new police officers being trained. Also crime rates in Camposol are high but not different from other areas of the Mazarrón county. The entire Mazarrón county is in the same boat......

Here's the only serious advice I can give you: if you hate it here that much and you obviously have no confidence for the future, sell your property and leave. All this negativity is exhausting and a gigantic waste of energy.

Nice answer to the residents who have been broken into, very harsh, may be you will feel different when and if you are broken into.

Some nice words would be good to help those people who are afraid, and feel helpless.

If you are a Camposilian, support and give help.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Fully agree with you, I do not know the answer to the problem, but respect you work in the patrols.

Please be carefull, and have a solid action plan for what to do if you all catch a ( scum. )

I trust there are many of you, and some who can handle themselves.

I did previously mention to some one, issue all a whistle, and any concerns, every one blow the whistles as loud as possible, the more the better, it will scare and cause many to come out.

Be aware, I am very sure the  ( scum ) are amongst us, and even read these forums, so be carefull who you tell any plans to, and ensure you trust all you work with.

Sorry to be frank, but you have got to get all correct, and be sure you are all safe.
