How are you goi ng to get your PCR test??? Is the ferry doing them? They have to be within 72 hours.

Hi I'm doing the same journey on the 12th Dec. Only my ferry lands at 08.00 so hopingvto get down in one trip. But would like to know if the ferry are doing the PCR test. As I was told when I booked I had to get a negative test within 72 hours. But I'm still unsure wether that is before boarding ship or arriving in Spain. Cause it will be impossible for me to get one and results before landing in Spain. Any one know. Thanks in advance.

The ferry leaves one evening and docks just over 24 hours later so test done before leaving U.K.

Yes I'm aware of that. But I want to know do we have to have a negative test less than 72 hours of gettingbon boat or 72 hours before docking. We are driving down from Scotland to Portsmouth. So ifbits 72 before arriving in Spain. Its going to be virtually impossible. It means we would be tested on the day before we sale and have to hope we even get our results before getting down to Portsmouth to board the ship or they won't let us on with out it. Its leaving way too much to chance even if we gotvthe negative result we want.

72 hours from time of test to having results passed on entry into Spain.

We won't be going to France except the ship docks in Roscoe for supplies only. We leave 22.15 from Portsmouth on 10th and land in Santander at 08.00 on the 12th. I phoned Brittany ferries . They are trying to getbit passed by Spanish authorities for the 72 hours be before boarding time and not docking time as they realise the impossibilities for some people.

Thank you. Think we will need all the luck we can get and then some.

If you want something special then how about the Parador at Lerma! The old Ducal Palace.

Just the right distance from Santander to arrive late afternoon and take in the whole atmosphere of the old town and the palace! Not cheap and a fair drive the next day - but a really different experience.

Hi thanks for that. But I like cheap and cheerful. Lol. Hopingvto get down from Santander in one run. We dock at 08.00 so I figure 9 /10 hours taking in a few stops. Its getting the PCR Test within the 72 hours thats my problem. Just got to hope they change the rules to 72 prior to boarding. Fingers crossed.
