Camposol had heavy rain..but no flooding ....it was the Costa Del Sol / Costa Blanca that had all the flooding ... Camposol & Mazarron was hit with this so called Gota Fria for the first time 5 year's back ...this freak storm is unpredictable and moves around Spain it might never strike Camposol again .. have a look on the net for the recent flooding on the Costas ..some places are under 25 ft of water.

Thanks very much for the info, was concerned about villa I brought as sector D was flooded before, due to river bed being used as a rubbish dump.

I didn't think Murcia was on the Costa Del Sol!

Hi

The gota fria happens usually in September and October and has for many years, when a cold and warm front collide. It does vary in severity from year to year.

I think you'll find most of Murcia and the Costa Blanca and Costa Calidad were hit , some areas more than others.

You can find more details on a variety of sites.

Sorry I agree  with rma Costa del sol has nothing to do with camposol or the immediate region. Murcia was one of the hardest places hit by as you call it "The so called Gota Fria" I hope your other property in the gated community is safe. But of course they would have opened the gates to let the water out
