Bonjour Bea,

Amicalement

Jean claude Kibler

Since everybody is mainly communicating in English, since that and Spanish are the two most sigificant universal languages used would it be too much to aks to translate your French into English?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the council get the assets, after the builder went bust to finish the development?? Street lights, roads etc and after it was completed the homeowners would form there respected association's and take over maintenance and street lights in there areas, if an area...

... forms a association doesn't that absolve the council from completing the work, I remember a meeting with a councillor a few years ago at mariano, and he claimed as we'd moved in,we accepted the state development???The cost of finishing the development years later is gonna cost significantly more, some of the roads need serious work, so I'm not sure where the money for that is.

You might very well be right about the council getting the assets when the builder went bust. To me that doesn't mean that we as residents should do nothing and just wait because that hasn't helped us much. We should start these HOA's and take some action towards the Mazarron council to get things done. For that we need funds and a legal strategy. And in time, after collecting said funds from the people of Camposol we will have a financial position to improve Camposol for the better. Just to give you an example. We have been using a large part of the Camsposol roads for many years. It is not realistic to expect the council to do all the maintenance because part of the infrasctucture was not finished.

I'd just be weary, as if we start the HOA, and formally except were gonna finish the development it would cost millions?? And would render a lot of areas worthless, I don't feel it's too much to ask, that the council should do what they've been paid for.

Starting a HOA does not mean we formally accept anything.

I can remember the council official saying different at the meeting a few years ago. Don't get me wrong I would love the lights on, streets finished and pavements finished.

I used to patrol the streets of sector D for hours and do rooftop watches. Hardly saw anyone else bothering so gave up.  Putting myself at risk. Moved off Camposol.   My mother still lives there though and is frightened. The police do not care.

Reading this thread which is just awful for everyone concerned. It appears to me self policing, CCTV is the only option. What are they stealing, hard to imagine that residents leave anything easily accessible. Sorry for your experiences

Even properties with cctv and security lighting are being broken into. Bear in mind the % of break ins are quite low for the amount of properties. Everyone needs to be vigilant. Neighbours disturbed a man lady and youth trying to break into their neighbours in the early hours of this morning.

How shocking!!

Do you know which sector this attempted break in occurred?

Are there areas which pose more of an issue than others?

I assume that the Police just don't want to react to Camposol, am I correct?

D sector. The police on the whole do come out after a burglary but they are reluctant to attend if home is unattended at the time. Eg if holiday home owner are not in Spain

We do have a WhatsApp security group for our area which is private and owners are patrolling and doing roof top watches. If someone reports something suspicious owners are off out with dogs and torches.
