New Community Charges on Camposol. - Page 2

Yes Stu C - BUT if, as you say, ALL properties will ultimately benefit with a rise in value, why then, aren't ALL property owners contributing EQUALLY?  i just hate the idea of paying for the benefit of others who pay nothing. - What else besides the resurfacing of the street will we be expected to pay for ? 

I agree it's not great if you live on a public road - the road and lights will be maintained by Mazzaron Council.

Unfortunately the Community of Owners is in the Deeds, there is no point in fighting a lost cause, as we've signed our deeds. I'd rather pay this charge to ensure that the lights and roads are maintained to a good standard. If we have a property on a private road - someone has an accident because of the roads etc are not maintained - all property owners are liable as we have no public liability insurance. If this is working on parts of Sector C - is it not worth asking how they set up the Community of Owners; how the monies are distributed fairly to ensure that the roads are re-surfaced and the lights are on!!!

The community of owners on C6 used Anna to set it up (she was at the meeting with Silvana) 

It has been running over a year and some of the monies collected went towards getting the wiring fixed and the lampposts working, the lamppost lights were also changed to LED as the sodium bulbs cost a lot to run and the electricity bills were high. Some money went towards getting the communal pool up and running, then getting the area around the pool landscaped. Insurance was bought in case there were any leaks on the private roads.

Anna has been brilliant for our community and is an expert in her field, so that is probably why she was invited, I wasn’t at the meeting so I don’t know if she had a chance to answer, or indeed was asked any Q’s.

So, - who is Anna and where does she operate from ?   Making a start in my street will be difficult . It comprises half Germans who speak no English, and half English who speak no German ! What to do ?

Thanks, Shanamat, I will look on CRA website.  As you say, doing nothing just now is an option, but not for long I think.
