Hello Everyone,

Our names are Max and Lynda and we are moving to Camposol.

We have sold our property in southern England very quickly and are making a complete move over to Spain.

Brexit is a real pain in the backside and the whole process is more tedious but still quite manageable.  We had a discussion with a Spanish Lawyer yesterday, who is going to take over the complete process .  He recommends the Non-lucrative Visa route rather than Golden Visa.  I am also going to hand over Power of Attorney so I have an independent Solicitor to handle the buying process.

We have got Health Insurance quotes.....just under 2000E each per year.

We love the properties in Camposol and like sector D.....car is a must obviously.....which is another pain because I will have to take a driving test again.

People say rent first but we now Spain well...particularly the Mazarron area, so just taking the plunge.

Looking forward to meeting you guys in about 16 weeks time.

Good luck. We bought on D nearly 3 years ago and moved over full time last year. We gained residencia and have exchanged our driving licences. No regrets so far for us other than missing family and friends in the UK.

We paid about 1800 for healthcare for residencia for both of us.

Thanks Sunnyspain,

Glad it's worked out well for you.

I've spent a lot of my working life living outside the UK so understand the pull you get to go back home....but a quick visit was often enough to convince me that I realy don't want to live in England anymore.    Everything is becoming a big hassle.

Hi Angela64,

Really glad yu're making the full move too.  Yes...decided to hand it all over to the solicitors because it's quite expensive applying for residency and if we get it wrong you have to start again. Also you have to be outside the country to apply.  I did think about the Golden Visa but Solicitor recommended Non Lucrative.

Once restrictions are lifted we plan to come over and find a house then hand the process to the Solicitor.

I've sent you a PM .

Cheers Max

The plan was to nip back every couple of months for a few days at a time. Covid has put a stop to that so it has been harder for us. Thank goodness for modern technology to keep in touch.

Surely being 67 you could get onto the Spanish medical system using a S1 and wife could piggyback onto that.

Hi max and Linda.

We are also living in southern England and are looking to purchase in camposol.

We don't know the area that well so are patiently waiting for travel restrictions to be lifted.

Love you know how you guys get on and any pitfalls we should look out for.

Good luck and please do keep in touch. Who knows this time next year we could be neighbours.

Cheers Neil and nikki
