When you see a property price some web pages say plus tax other web pages dont, do the ones that dont say it have the tax included into the price ? Also how much is the tax ? is it 10% ?

Hi hope you have settled in okay. We are seriously thinking of moving out to Camposol before the end of the year, could I ask,a few questions ?

How did the whole process go and how long from your deposit being accepted did you have the keys.

What lawyer did you use

Did you give them power of attorney

Roughly how much do you think in pounds each month you need to live comfortably.

Any tips on the whole process would be very welcome.w

Look forward to,hearing from you enjoy your new life in Spain

Ian

Very interested on the amount of money required to live "comfortably" as well

Spoke to a barman here back in June and he reckoned spo long as you do not intend to push the boat out every evening then 1k would be sufficient and that covered his food and bills...?

Would love to get a second opinion on that as it would make my decision making process a lot easier as well

From deposit to keys 1 month, we were cash buyers tho and on holiday in between so we chose for completion to be a month.

We used Pals solicitors.

We gave power of attorney to the notary.

We only use it as a holiday home for now so I really couldn’t answer your question.

I personally researched and read about all the sectors and narrowed things down according to our needs, in the end we knew what and where we wanted to purchase so only viewed 2 properties. (bank property and resale)

Although we’ve only used our place as a holiday home, we did stay for a month when we got the keys, so used a month of electricity and water bills were 65 and 45€  respectively, petrol was approx 40€ per week but we done a lot of running about. I appreciate that there other annual things to take into account as well, but I’d tend to agree with the barman, but this is only because we would live in Spain like we do in the UK ie we go out drinking a few times a month and eat out a few times a month. I guess everyone’s answer to this question will differ depending on how often they do things.

It was the general bills really, everyone is different and if you live there you need to settle into it and not go mad.

Thanks again

We get through €1800 a month. We don't go out much, we have lunch out once a week and that is hardly expensive. The rest of the money just goes on bills. OK we have 3 vehicles but I can only drive one at a time. The pool gets through a few euros for chemicals and electricity. Where the rest goes I can't work out. When I talk to our friends they all get through more.

You are right , where does it all go. I am hoping to join the golf club so that would be extra, only would have one car though 🚗. What sort of property do you have?

Any further tips would be much appreciated , have a good day

We have a Neptuno. With this weather I am dreading the electric bill. We have 2 cars and one motorcycle. One of the cars is now tax exempt so that reduces my annual tax bill by €155. The total insurance cost is €1200 pa. We have not had a holiday in 2 years. I am probably not the best person to ask for tips as I can't work out where it goes.

Does leaving the air con overnight rack up the electricity bill as we do this all the time..? My feeling is no as it is a necessity but equally I am sure the electric companies like to find ways to make money..!!
