Thank you for this information, I am so pleased to hear that the council will start to take control, even if they require a rates payment, it will be well worth it to solve issues.

I must say a previous answer to us on a question has made us think again more carefully, as it was hard hitting, and made us feel that there was discrimination, and a underlaying hatred of some issues.

Please do not be put off by comments made. Camposol is actually safer than many parts of the UK. The community spirit here is so positive and although we haven't been here long we know we haven't made a mistake.

Thank you for this comment, we were some what concerned at the answer to a question we asked , which seemed to show some hatred, and underlaying anger, it put us of a bit, and we are re thinking about plans.

As with all warps of life you will get negative views, but the majority here far out way the minority.  Camposol reminds me of village life in the 60s and 70s where every one worked together for a better community.  This place works you get out as much as you put in.  Please do come over and take a look.

Thank you,

We will have a look,

We have booked for May to come down, we were going to cancel now after some negative feed back, but will go ahead with our visit and see all.

Thanks.

Must admit that I thought that one of the posters was extremely negative bordering on a deliberate attempt to put anyone else moving to Camposol. We do not live there permanently yet but plan to do so when we retire so we bought our villa as an investment and to give us the chance to have more holidays per year than ever before. As such we may not be best placed to give perfect advice but all I can tell you is that in the 3 years since we bought we have seen nothing of trouble or violence and only a fairly close knit community mostly of ex pats who simply want to enjoy life in the sun...? I seem to have upset a few people on hear quoting a few facts...what I should have said was we don't have any crime and dishonesty in Spain... Not like we get back in the UK...is that positive enough.

FF - I think there is nothing wrong with pointing out that Spain is no less crime free than the UK - all countries have their problems. However, the question asked was specific to Camposol and I personally do not believe that your response was accurate or gave a fair impression of what life on Camposol could be like.

If you want to live with your head in the clouds... then carry on ...Personally I would not meet up or give any stranger ...information about my financial state...the advise /warning I give to the original poster is my personal point of view on Spain not just Camposol ....I have had a Villa on Camposol for 11 years ...and still enjoy it but then again I always keep my eye's and ear's wide open.

These are new people to the area and simply want to chat about life on camposoil and what experiences may be useful to them. I honestly do not think anyone sits there and speaks about finances in general and yet we still see threads on here regarding finances and how much is required to live on per month. Simply useful information that anyone can take or disregard as they see fit

Just think the picture you portrayed was not particularly realistic and clearly made them think twice about moving to Camposol/Spain which is wrong and unfair....

What part of my picture of Spain / Camposol was not truth ...if these people want a insight to what daily life is all about for a Brit on Camposol ....then the best thing they could do is to book a couple of weeks holiday ...and just look and listen... and if you don't like what you hear or see then carry on looking for utopia....personally I think Camposol is as good as it gets.
