You should have a copy of an old bill in the property documents, or your solicitor should have one.

If you weren't given a copy of the previous IBI bill paid by the previous owner of the property (hopefully!) by your lawyer, then you can go to the town hall with a copy of the Escritura that you signed at the Notary, to show that you are the current owner of the property and they will be able to issue you with a copy of the outstandingly bill(s). It's a good idea to set up a direct debit while you are there, so that next year's bill will be paid automatically.

Maybe the previous owner paid the IBI for 2023 before the sale went through? Did you buy the property this year?

No. We bought it last year he paid 2022
I get mine at agenciatributaria.carm.es
I got the information off here 2 yrs ago.
Go here
https://agenciatributaria.carm.es/duplicadorecibos
Fill in the drop down boxes
In the NIF box enter your NIE number lower case no hyphens or spaces
In the box 'Fixed Receipt Number' you need to enter one of the numbers from your last IBI bill.
Example below.
Nº fijo de recibo : 20293377
Which translates to
Fixed Receipt Number :20293377
When you press enter that should bring up your IBI bill
Don't forget that if you pay your IBI by DD you get an automatic 5% discount.
