Oh that’s not too bad. Finding a taxi in either airport is not a problem. Finding one going back to the airport is the difficulty!

Many Thanks for your time and advice.

Flo

You obviously have a problem on Camposol without a car.

It depends how long you are going over for, but I hired a car on-line last month from Alicante airport which cost 8.76€ for 8 days! On top of that I was charged 28€ for the fuel refilling fee.(I agree that is a rip off just for filling it up). It was a full/empty deal, but I always fill it up at the station near the airport, show them the receipt and they don't charge for the fuel. I don't pay any extras as I have annual insurance which cost me about £35. So I had a brand new Citroen C4 for a grand total of 36.76€, which worked out at 4.6€ a day, and I could use the car all the time I was there. A taxi would have cost 180€ and I would have been without transport for the duration of my stay.

OK, the hire charges go up as the seasons change, and you don't always get a brand new car, but still a good deal and worth considering while you wait for Corvera to open.

You should be supplying the phone Numbers via the private message system... I am sure Pete does not want his run around confiscated for Taxi driving without a license.

OH dear, will have to apologise to Pete when he picks me up from the airport next week. Won't be using this site again.

So are using an unlicensed taxi to save a few Euros? No insurance and not a leg to stand on if there is a problem! Amazing!
