We are thinking about going over mid September time all being well.

Blimey those insurance prices are a bit over the top.

Can't really help other than suggest Staysure for travel insurance.

I presume you will have tried them.

Yep, they had best priced annual but max duration for over 70 was 31 days. Almost all were that (31-35) pay extra with some and upto 60 but none would go 90.Staying non resident thought we,d made right choice now not so sure as paying 21% iva on belongings is another kick in the teeth. Wouldn't need to take things over if we hadn't been ransacked in first place by some thieving bast..ds.

I, m warning all 70+yrs travel insurance is a nightmare for long stays.

Good luck with September.

I,m sorry to hear that and it sounds like you really need a trip away too. Do try to get a little time away in September. We got stuck (ahem if you can call it stuck, sunshine, relaxation etc etc) last year for the same length of time as we,ve been away since then. We,ve booked for 90 days away a...

...nd if things change this time hate to think we,d overstay as Spain doesn't seem to have any tolerance towards covid caused situations. Sometimes you just have to take a chance as I think the repercussions of this virus will still be with us for many years yet.

Best of luck to you

Yes, sometimes you have to take a calculated risk and the good news is that Murcia is not as badly affected as other parts of Spain. Take precautions, observe social distancing and common sense will probably get you through. It's a personal decision and I hope it works out well for you. Best of luck.
