Exchanging sterling for Euro’s

I used hifx but I think transferwise do better rates

Both are trustworthy

We always use Currencies Direct and strongly recommend them for reliability, good rates and personal service.

When we needed to convert Pounds to Euros for our house purchase in 2005, we were intending to use a currency dealer. My bank (First Direct) said: did I know that they had someone on the trading floor? I didn't. They could match the rate given by the currency dealer so First Direct did the exchange for a very reasonable fee. So, it might be worth asking your UK bank (if you haven't already).

I used IFX to purchase the euros to buy our property. You can buy the currency in advance and the rate is locked in. My lawyer received the money from them within an hour. For smaller amounts I use transferwise. Don't use banks as their exchange rates are poor.

We always use FairFX  all I can say that I cannot find better for Rates .

Try Transferwise...we used  them when we bought in November...
