Hola - my wife and I are early retirees and have read that Balsicas is a good townv to live.Has quite good bars, restaurants,market,banks etc and a train station too?Be good to have some British residents( but not too many!) Any info. much appreciated.

Best advice is don't even think of moving anywhere without having lived there first, preferably for a few weeks.

Hi ,I had a place in Balsicas for 13 years and recently sold it to move North of Torrevieja. Definitely good advice as before to rent for a while to see if its for you. Yes it has lots of facilities bars ,banks ,shops ,minisupermarkets etc as well as good transport links ,Rail and bus but we felt that we had outlived it and had friends in the area we moved to . On the whole I would say its a nice small town .

Thanks Iron...'"a nice small town" will do for us. We'll be close to friends too as they live on La Torre Golf.
