Hello, does anyone know how much a average sized pain of glass costs and where to buy? We can take the frame to the company to measure and fit or we can fit it ourselves.

It's a pane of glass by the way....it's only a pain when it breaks! No idea what an average size for a pane is but work on the basis of 20€ per m2. That is huge 1m x 1m ! The cost of fitting depends what and who you choose! Good Luck!

Thanks for that helpful info Bill. . I should get at least two window panes for €20 so cheap enough but might be a pain to fit myself.

just need someone now to let me know who sells glass

Might not be the nearest but there is a glass supplier in Mazarron.

They are on the left hand side of the road as you drive between Mazarron & Puerto Mazarron.

I think it is called Cristalar or something similar.

They do all sorts of glass.

It's next to Home Market Chino & Nova Agric.

Can't find it on Google maps sorry.

They're not bad. Bought some double glazed pane from them. Christallera, excuse me for my spelling,  means glass place so basically everywhere you see this they're making window glass.

It didn't bothered me but no one tried to speak English there by the way so need to be creative I guess

Thanks for that extra info. I will take the frames with me so I can just point and ask the price.

Did they cut you some right away or will I need to return to collect the cut glass later?

No, it's proper factory. Two or three working days I waited as was only small order. Double glazed pane needs a bit of time to make and no one will be jumping out of production line just to make one for me while I'm waiting. Worth to ask if it's only single glass pane, who knows... hoping they're open?

A couple of months ago we got a single pane cut by them as we waited, 50cm by 40cm and cost us 10€. Pretty pleased with that. Being  newbies to living in Spain we went prepared with a script of translated phrases and all went smoothly.
