You will need a licence to fish from shore or boat. Costs 35 euros.

[email protected]. They will give you internet. Try Ayuntamiento Cartagena. That’s the townhall and they probably handle licenses. Though I’m not sure as I don’t fish

Check out the legality of your car in Spain for 7 consecutive months if it's on UK plates.

Currently as I understand the Spanish laws ( before Brexit) you can stay for 180 days in one year— being 1st Jan to 31st Dec. Once over the 180 days you are automatically classed as a Spanish tax payer and as such would be legally obliged to pay tax on any income/ pension you received. Once Brexit happens- if ever-the current information states you can only stay for 90 days as a non resident then must leave all of Europe for a further 90 days before returning. ( passport control/ checks will identify this).

Re the dog beach in Isla Plana, in theory no they are not allowed on the small one to the right (the one which has Medula Tulsa beach bar in season) and signs stating this are on the lampposts, but yes there are many who do run dogs on this beach out of season. The “ new” official dog beach is from the outskirts of Isla Plana towards La Azohia.

Hope this helps a little, Jaz

The sign dog beach is just on beginning of Puerto de Mazzaron on the left when you driving from Isla Plana by the beach side before the parking.
