Hi, my husband and I are in the process of buying a property in La Torre. Our solicitor has open a bank account for us at Cajamar but unfortunately we can’t seem to sign up for online access due to the fact it needs a NIF number and we only have a NIE number. We are in England so can’t go to bank. Anyone had this problem and found a solution? Thanks !!

Try your NIE number.

Without the hyphen if it has one.

Type in your NiE ncluding the letters, Nie, nif & tie numbers are identical. If it still doesn't work you either have the wrong number or your solicitor has entered it wrong with Cajamar. Ask him.

They do have English speakers in their customer services. Phone them and they can help you. Alternatively email them.

Hi

I am Belgiam and non resident. I have opened a bank account recently at Cajamar with my NIE ID. I have access to banking.

Hope you are well informed by your solicitors. If not I know someone I can highly recommend.

Regards

Joelle

Thank you everyone for your help and thoughts. We have tried many things but have now emailed Cajamar and if no reply will ring them tomorrow. Fingers crossed we get it sorted. Thanks again for all the support, much appreciated.

It does say you have to open the account in branch for non residents
