Glad you took our advice Dave. The situation is not fluid, it's cast in concrete. Murcia is locked down (at least on the coast) Only farmacias and supermercados are open. The police are patrolling the streets. All airports have now been closed and flights turned back. Keep well and safe Dave.

CorveAirport still open isn’t it?

Only Jet 2 cancelled flights up to now.

This is how rumours are spread about the situation. Bill17520 saying all airports are now closed which he wrote yesterday, when in actual fact they were still open and still are

Correct Chucky

I have just returned from Alicante Airport after picking my wife up.

She was returning home to Spain in case anyone thinks she is being irresponsible!

The whole area is in lock down. No bars or restaurants open. Golf courses and club houses are also closed.

Only premises open are supermarkets and Pharmacies. There is no where to go and nothing to do. Walking is highly restricted and you most certainly can't use the resort pools. A woman was arrested yesterday for swimming and was fined 1,000 Euros.

I would recommend staying at home for another 10 days or so and re asses the situation then,

Regards

David

Just revisited the original post "My wife and I are planning to drive, via Bilbao, to Le Torre golf resort for a months stay on Monday but have heard reports that the Murcia area is in a corona virus lock down situation.

We were wondering if any residents have any information as to whether the lockdown includes entry into Le Torre golf. As long as we can enter the resort we’re quite happy staying there in the sun🌞."

Oh such days of innocence and naivety! Sadly from the beginning we still get posts with "I have read...I have just heard" etc, with no supporting reference. I do not believe anything until I have read the BOE - the government bulletin that publishes all the laws in detail, complete with dates.

Anything else should be ignored as being rumour, and that could be dangerous.

Not ending but restrictions MIGHT start to eased slightly soon. MurciaToday headlines a little confusing. For more accurate information read El Pais English version online.
