Hi Lesley,

We did the same - bought a place to use for holidays with a view to moving out when I retire at the end of the year.

Despite the rule changes, it is still very achievable if you want to make it happen; there are people on here who have actually made the move in the last few months. Sure, there are more hurdles, but if you want it, go for it.

As a holiday home, the 90 day rule shouldn't be too much of a burden, and by the time you are ready to move out who knows what the rules will be regarding driving.

Don't be put off by negative comments!

We have made the permanent move via the Non Lucrative Visa process - arrived here 4 weeks ago.

If you want any further information on this, then please PM me...

Hi Rich,

My wife and I are looking to re-locate via the NLV route. Would love to hear your experiences on this.

We have approx £46,000 in savings, plus around £160,000 profit from a house sale. Looking to purchase out right in Spain. I also have a £16,000pa Naval Pension. Do you think our finances would be sufficient. We expect to spend up to £110,000 on a house purchase.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Graham
