I agree Abbey67......I really like Corvera airport, love the design and easy access and throughout the summer we had family and friends fly into RMU with the wonderful Ryanair from Birmingham and Luton (if you don't like Ryanair don't fly with them and if you do fly with them then please don't mo...

...an)...and some have already booked the same route for 2020...

As for those bemoaning the loss of San Javier ....... nothing is forever and the biggest issue for people is that they now have to adapt to change....and drive a little further or pay a little more for transfer but we all enjoyed the cheap and easy access times when available so now it's a case of dig a little deeper and get on with it......

I too have enjoyed excellent car hire experiences with Goldcar, Firefly and RecordGo......

I cannot find any flights from Luton ot Corvera in 2020. May i ask how they your friends and family have found them please?

I suppose it's the people who think Ryanair are 'wonderful.' Read all the terms and conditions on every booking they make. Manage to get onto wifi at Manchester airport without fail. And never make a mistake in arriving at an airport without a boarding card. That has contributed to Michael O'Leary's billion pound fortune.

Clearly, if one has a place in Los Alcazares or holiday there regularly, the airport moving to Corvera is a right pain in the proverbial and makes life more costly.  Conversely, those who live/holiday in Fuente Alamo, Hacienda del Alamo, Condado, La Torre Golf, Totana, Puerto de Mazarron, Camposol etc. will find the new airport much more convenient and cheaper to access than San Javier.  If the region is ever going to fully recover from the crash, tourism needs to grow significantly in Murcia and San Javier airport didn't have the capacity to expand to accommodate the increase in business, whereas Corvera does.  The military are never going to grant San Javier airport back to commercial use, so we'd better all hope RMU Corvera is successful in the fullness of time because otherwise, everyone is going to be trekking up to Alicante!

And finding other, smaller resorts, closeby, with easy transfers.

This thread has got really silly. Just choose whichever airline YOU like and the airport to go with it.....and stop moaning. Things change, quite regularly as it happens, and some win and some lose....that's life!

You obviously didn't read some of the early thread of this topic. Ryanair were referred to as the 'Wonderful Ryanair' on two occasions.
